Accounts Assistant

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Receivable work including raising invoices and credit control, credit card refunds and revenue recognition work at period end.
Key Responsibilities

  • Raising sales invoices
  • Allocation of debtor receipts and other cash receivables to the correct accounts ledgers
  • Credit control
  • Liaise with US Finance over invoices raised in US
  • Handling customer queries
  • Analysis and Reconciliations
  • Booking deferred revenue and accrued income and associated costs
  • Adhering to period end deadlines
  • Other adhoc accounting tasks as and when required
Knowledge,skills and abilities
  • Highly motivated hands-on team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with various departments within the organisation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to perform in a high-paced environment and be able to organise workload in efficient manner
  • Multi-currency experience
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheet applications and accounts systems

Location: The role will initially be based in our London office at Russell Square. It will move to our new offices in Apsley in March/April 2018.
